Practical Family Law Solutions was set up by Jessica Brown in 2013. During her years as a practicing solicitor in a high street law firm, she realised that as well as quality legal advice, clients really needed an additional understanding and support service that law firms do not offer. She therefore decided to add coaching to my skills to provide the essential support that people need while discussing life changing decisions.
With the numerous legal aid cuts in recent years she felt a service was needed for those unable to pay for solicitors' fees and set up an alternative solution that would be more affordable. Practical Family Law Solutions helps you through the process as a litigant in person, which gives clients more flexibility. Practical Family Law Solutions can offer you as much or as little help as you need dealing with correspondence, forms, legal documents and explaining the legal processes. We can attend court with you and help you represent yourself or if you feel more comfortable with someone to speak to the judge for you, we can help you find a public access barrister to represent you at court hearings.

Jessica Brown
I am a non-practicing solicitor who has worked in family law for over 15 years. I am passionate about finding positive solutions for my clients and ensuring I give them all the support they need during one of the hardest periods they will have to face.
During my years at a high street law firm I came to realise that only part of clients' requirements were met by traditional law practice. I have therefore tailored my own business to offer life coaching alongside my professional expertise in family law and will writing to offer my client a more rounded solution.
I have lived and worked in the Sussex and Surrey area for many years and have built up a number of useful local and national contact who can help you with various aspects of your separation.
