What are your office hours?

Usual office hours are Monday to Friday 9:30 – 14:30 and Saturday 10:00 – 12:00. I am happy to arrange appointments outside these hours by prior arrangement.

I will always endeavour to respond to communication as quickly as I can, however please note that I work flexible hours.

What makes Practical Family Law Solutions different?

Unlike most McKenzie friends, I am a qualified solicitor.

I offer out of hours appointments at a time to suit you.

You can choose the level of support that suits you. Some clients like to get in touch when they need a question answered, others prefer to work on every aspect of their case with me.

In addition to looking after your legal requirements, I also offer life coaching, including stress management and anxiety coaching.

What if my case goes to court?

If court attendance is necessary, I can attend with you as a McKenzie friend. You will address the judge yourself but I will be there with you to guide you and take notes for you. Additionally a public access barrister can be instructed to represent you at the hearing and I will help you make all the arrangements for that.

Can I get a quickie divorce?

There is no such thing as a quickie divorce. All divorces have to go through the same process. That said, the more in agreement you are with your former spouse, the faster the process will be.

How can I keep things amicable?

The more you and your ex spouse can agree, the easier the process will be for both of you. There are various ways you can reach agreement and I will help you decide which is best suited for you. Calm communication is key and there are various third parties such as mediators who can assist. I offer coaching sessions for separated couples who need some help with their communications and/or reaching decisions together.
