Covid-19 Update

I hope you are all safe and well and managing to avoid the virus.

At Practical Family Law Solutions I am offering services as usual.

Although where clients are in court proceedings, lawyers are considered to be key workers, I am unfortunately unable to offer any appointments in person at the moment. My husband is currently having chemotherapy and myself and my children are all asthmatic, my youngest quite badly. I am sure you will understand the priority has to be keeping them safe and keeping all of you protected.

I am offering Skype/FaceTime/Zoom and telephone appointments as usual and of court I am available on email.

My home office is currently shared with my husband working from home and my son doing his online classroom. My husband and I are taking it in turns to watch the children while the other works so I apologise if you can hear them in the background! We are all using separate laptops so your privacy is maintained.

I appreciate that many of you will also have children at home and it is difficult to talk with them nearby. I am happy to offer appointments at whatever time of day or the weekend that works for you so just send me an email and we will get it booked in.

The courts are now working largely remotely. Non urgent hearings are mostly postponed and urgent hearings are taking place using remote platforms. Court paperwork services seem to be a little slow but are being processed.

Wills and other documents that require signatures to be witnessed can still be completed. You may just need to be a little imaginative with witnessing, for example signing on your doorstep and then stepping back while your witness signs.

If you have any questions at all, please do get in touch.

Thank you so much for your understanding and please keep yourself and your families safe.
